NASA Inspiration Tour Meets NFL Game
As part of NASA’s ongoing Inspiration Tour, astronaut Christina Koch will attend the Philadelphia Eagles versus Los Angeles Rams game in Philadelphia on Sunday, October 4.
Koch spent a total of 338 days aboard the International Space Station, working as an engineer and mission specialist. During her time in orbit she conducted numerous experiments that helped advance life‑support systems and other space‑based technologies.
At the game she plans to highlight her enthusiasm for football and her personal connection to Philadelphia, noting that she is a self‑proclaimed Eagles fan. She will use the opportunity to talk about the strengths of American space exploration and aeronautics innovation.
The event blends sport and science to demonstrate how developments from space research translate into everyday applications, especially in aviation. NASA aims to raise public interest in STEM fields and motivate future explorers through such outreach activities.
